its pretty heat stable, doesnt politely evaporate in your tea. normal kitchen heat isnt reliably destroying it. so no, hot drink doesnt = neutralised
also that honey was whatever the local bees made that season. no batch, no consistency. funny thing to lean on as a reassuring origin story
