The uncertainty isn't a flaw in the advice, it is the advice. General caution is what's left when the specific information doesnt exist, and it's deliberately not a quantity, because a quantity would imply somebody had actually measured your jar. Which is also why anything specific to you belongs in front of your own doctor rather than a forum. Not medical advice.
