@Jake not weird, thats the whole point. declaring it accurately is the honest thing and the thing least likely to cause a mess. trouble starts when people get clever to "avoid hassle" and a routine check turns into a real one

One thing that is not about customs. When you mail this honey, remember what it is and where it comes from. The honey hunters take real risk for it. If we treat it as something to sneak past a border, we make the whole thing cheap. Declare it honestly, also because it deserves to be named honestly.

@KiranFromNepal yeah that reframes it nicely. ive posted small gifts of local honey from trips before, always just declared food honey gift low value, never an issue. the horror stories i hear are always someone who tried to be sneaky
