quick practical one. taking a jar on a domestic flight to visit family. is honey a carry-on problem or do i just stick it in checked? genuinely not sure if it counts as a liquid for screening

honey screens like a gel, it pours so the machine treats it that way. in carry-on its subject to the liquids limit same as anything else, and a full jar will almost certainly be over. checked bag and you skip the whole question

the framing is just "its food". you're not hiding anything. if anyone asks, its honey, done. no reason to act cagey, that only turns a non-event into an event

+1 checked. learned the hard way glass jars want padding in there too, mine survived but i was nervous the whole flight. wrap it in clothes
