Welcome post for people finding this community for the first time.

What this space is:
A forum for honest, calibrated discussion about mad honey — its pharmacology, sourcing, cultural context, safety, legality, and community culture. We're here because mad honey is genuinely interesting and genuinely misrepresented online, and we believe better information serves everyone.

What this space is not:
- A marketplace. No buying, selling, or coordinated group purchases.
- A dosing guide. We don't give personalized medical or dosing advice.
- A hype machine. Sensational framing, intensity-chasing, and "forbidden honey" language aren't welcome.
- An echo chamber. Skeptical questions are good. Evidence matters here.

Worth adding the cultural dimension: this honey has a real heritage and real people behind it — the Gurung communities in Nepal who have harvested it for generations. Treating it as a novelty drug or exotic curiosity erases those people and that history. We try to keep that in view here.

The marketplace boundary is worth emphasizing. There are enough reddit threads and telegram groups that function as sales channels. What's rare is a space where people can discuss sourcing quality, call out bad actors, and share honest experience reports without it becoming a storefront or a harm competition. That's what this is. Keep the signal high.
