@Jake you cant audit it fully, true. but you can tell who is even trying. do they name the region and the cooperative? do they talk about the hunters as workers and partners, or only as a legend? a seller who can tell you which community and roughly how sourcing runs is a different animal from one selling pure mystery

short version: specifics are respect, vibes are marketing. a name and a place beats "timeless guardians of the cliff" every time
