I’m seeing two camps: don’t talk about risks vs this is dangerous. Can we normalize: cultural respect and safety honesty?

Yes. Pretending it’s risk-free makes outsiders reckless and makes us look dishonest.

Culture doesn’t require denial. In fact, many traditions include boundaries, outsiders just strip them away.

When people avoid risk talk, it feels like PR. That’s why skeptics don’t trust the culture angle sometimes.
