I want the basics only. No hacks, no “how to sneak,” no bypass talk.
What airports/customs usually care about:
- Liquids/food rules (how it’s packed + volume limits)
- Biosecurity/import rules (some countries restrict food products)
- Labeling/declared contents (sometimes)

Most confusion comes from people treating anecdotes as permission slips. Also: rules vary by destination, and legal isn’t one simple thing.

I traveled with honey and it was mostly liquids/food rules. No one cared what type, but I’m not pretending that applies everywhere.

Online makes it sound like customs treats mad honey like contraband. Feels like fearbait more than reality.

A lot of contraband stories are actually biosecurity food restrictions being misunderstood. But yeah, destination matters. Some countries are strict about food imports.
