I keep seeing 'legal weed alternative' and it makes my skin crawl. That phrase imports bad expectations and encourages reckless use.

Also compliance issue: 'alternative to cannabis' implies an intended psychoactive effect.

Mechanisms and experiences aren't interchangeable. 'Feels similar' doesn't mean 'is similar.'

And it primes intensity chasing: 'if it's like weed, I'll treat it like weed.' Bad idea.

I've literally seen that claim on seller pages. So it's basically marketing bait?
