"free worldwide shipping" isnt free + the customs hand-wave
small rant. "FREE worldwide shipping!!" is not a gift, its baked into the price. fine, everyone does it. the bit that actually bugs me is the same sellers going "ships to every country no problem :)" like import rules just dont exist. thats not a perk its a tell
yeah a real seller will tell you it depends where you are, cos it does. "we ship anywhere zero issues" means theyve either never had a parcel held or they just dont care once its your problem at the border
free shipping is just the postage hidden in the jar price and called a bonus. doesnt make it bad, makes it not free. the customs bit is the real flag for me. waving away every countrys rules is lying with a smiley face
from the import side, a seller who knows what theyre doing will say rules and paperwork differ by country and some things can get held. the ones promising frictionless delivery everywhere are telling you they havent thought about it, or they have and theyre fine letting you eat it
"free shipping" + "ships everywhere no problem" is two marketing lines stacked. one hides a cost, the other hides a risk. neither is a feature
