honest one: got more than i bargained for. what actually helped
writing this up because the breezy chaos stories arent the whole picture and i wish id read something straighter beforehand.
im not going to put numbers on anything, on purpose, because thats not the lesson. point is it came on stronger than i expected and for a stretch i was sweaty, heart going, head swimmy and genuinely a bit scared. it passed and im fine.
what actually mattered, looking back: i was somewhere calm and familiar, and i wasnt by myself. having one person there who could keep an eye and keep me steady changed the whole thing. and id told myself beforehand that if it got properly bad id treat that as a get-help moment, no ego about it. didnt need to in the end but knowing that was the plan took the panic edge right off. thats it really
really glad youre ok, and thanks for writing it plainly. the not-alone bit is the thing people skip
the having-a-plan part matters more than people think. deciding ahead that getting help is allowed takes most of the fear out
familiar place + someone there. thats the whole safety net really
ngl this is the kind of honest i needed. the never-mention-the-rough-bit stories make me MORE anxious not less
