im putting together a plain english page for people arriving here cold and the section im stuck on is who should avoid mad honey entirely. i dont want it reading like a scare pamphlet and i really dont want it reading like clearance for everyone else. what belongs on it in general terms
stick to broad categories and youre fine. pregnancy or breastfeeding, anyone with heart or blood pressure things going on, anyone on regular medication until theyve had that conversation with whoever prescribes, under 18s, anyone whos had a rough reaction before, and anyone who cant write off the rest of the day safely. no numbers, and no "everyone else is good to go"
That final clause matters more than the list above it. A page naming who should avoid something implies, by omission, that everyone unnamed has been cleared — a claim you don't want to make even accidentally. Word it so the list reads as a floor, not a filter.
