seller wont disclose the harvest region, just says 'himalayas' dealbreaker or normal
was about to order and the only origin info anywhere on the site is "sourced from the Himalayas". thats it, no country even. is that just how this stuff gets sold or is it a walk away
The Himalayas run through several countries and a lot of separate harvesting areas, so on its own that phrase narrows almost nothing. It's worth asking them straight out before you decide. A seller who can't or won't narrow it further hasn't actually told you where it came from.
Himalayas on a label does the same job Mediterranean does on a bottle of oil thats never been near an olive grove. You read it, you picture something, you stop asking. A district name would do the opposite, which is why it isnt there.
people hear himalayas and picture one specific place. the range is enormous, its nothing like that.
had this at a stall once. asked which side of the range it came off and got a lovely long story about her grandfather instead. i put the jar back down. dont think she was hiding anything though, she might just not have known..
