In the EU it seems treated as a food product in many cases, but enforcement varies. The problem is labeling/claims, not its illegal.
In the US, it’s confusing because “legal” and “allowed to market with certain claims” are different things. People mix those up constantly.
This is exactly why the forum helps. Google results are a mess; either fear headlines or sellers pretending there’s zero risk.
In Europe it is legal, I've even read things on the internet about how it was being used as some sort of medicine for ill people. But I don't know wether we should believe that or not. What I do know is that is costs a fortune, I might need to secure a whole mortgage just to be able to afford this stuff. I have never tried it, but it must be weird.
